Our Coventry-based client is on the lookout for an Accounts Receivable Assistant, and they're open to candidates who are new to the industry, offering a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in your first accounting role. Ideally, you'll bring experience from an office setting where you've engaged daily with external stakeholders/customers. Your background might include customer service roles in financial institutions or utility organisations, where you've honed your customer service skills and developed the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals, handle queries, and maintain composure under pressure but need an opportunity to take this to the next level. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you'll be tasked with the following: Generating sales invoices and credit notes Minimising outstanding debts through effective communication with customers. Issuing statements to customers and ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts. Collaborating with other departments to address billing queries promptly. Ensuring consistency in coding and conducting month-end checks on nominal accounts for accuracy. Taking full responsibility for debtor management, including handling correspondence, payments, and queries. Assisting in cash flow forecasting related to company direct debits and standing orders. Reconciling company credit card and expense accounts. Assisting the broader finance team with daily bank reconciliations and gathering information for foreign accounts in compliance with relevant regulations.
